Review: Omega by Lizzy Ford

Omega is the first book by Lizzy Ford but won't be last one. I've to wait for the next book to come! A really cool read!!

Title: Omega
Author: Lizzy Ford

Series: Omega

In a modern world ruled by territorial Greek gods, the human race has been oppressed, exploited and now, nearly destroyed by the constant infighting of gods.

However, a human girl with the power of a goddess is coming of age. Alessandra is the Oracle of Delphi – the last prophesized – and bears the mark of the double omega. Soon after she turns eighteen, Alessandra is told her destiny: to step between the warring gods and the human race and save her world from certain ruin.

For the gods, her appearance marks the beginning of the end – their end. They and the Triumvirate – leaders of the human elite – who serve them will stop at nothing to preserve their power.

Alessandra emerges from the forest where she spent her life hidden from gods and men and immediately plummets into a race against time, gods, and herself to discover who and what she is in a world where everyone she meets has a hidden agenda, and those pulling the strings remain in the shadows.

Before she can determine exactly what kind of savior her world needs, she must first master her power by completing three trials devised by the Triumvirate to enslave her.

One lone girl stands between warring gods and the people she’s destined to protect, but it’s the battle to understand who she is that she must win first.

My Review

Omega (Omega #1)Omega by Lizzy Ford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed it very much. The book seemed huge but I didn't even knew when I breezed through. When there was like 100 pages remaining I wanted to read as fast I could and also didn't wanted to read it. I didn't wanted to finish the book :( But I did and I'm consoling myself with the Miniseries which I'm enjoying very much!
I love Alessandra, I love her sauciness. She kept it humorous. The banters between her and Mismatch/ Adonis and then in beginning the convo between her and Niko, lol!!
And my fav part was when she was regaining her memories. The little one was cute!
Well I just trust Adonis and Herakles with not hurting her. She can't not trust any one hence the end part.
And I don't know what to think of Niko, my opinions kept switching but I don't think he is in my good book. I'd not trust him with anything.
I just couldn't feel the severity of the situation going around as Alessandra cuz I guess at first she wasn't aware of what would happen and why she was important.
And the romance! was awesome! Nothing happened but you could feel the chemistry between them going on!
I liked the book very much and am looking forward for Theta to come out next year. Got an ARC in exchange of an honest review

Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath, Stephen King, John Grisham, C.S. Lewis, Charles Dickens, Peter Benchley, William Peter Blatty, J.M. Barrie & James Herbert. Oh, of course, Shakespeare.
What is your writing process like?
I see visual images in my mind’s eye very vividly. It’s like I mentally walk into a dark movie theatre in my mind, an old 1920’s movie theatre and sit alone in the middle of a gigantic room amidst hundreds of empty seats. The cinema screen is blank (white) until the projector begins to play a movie. It is the movie that would entertain, thrill and touch me emotionally and I simply write down what I see.

Lord Of The Flies by William Golding.
Do you have an author crush?
No. Not really. Haha. Stephenie Meyer, maybe? Yeah, I’ll go with Stephenie. Which is weird because I don’t like the mainstream.

In the new world, by order of the false King, three of the most lethal assassins are sent to kill the children before they come of age and avenge their father’s throne.
But when the brothers find one another, Benjamin, Tommy and Sebastian must resist the temptation of magic and power if they are to defeat the unspeakable evil that has threatened them since birth.

Wattpad Wednesday: Surrender by BrittanyLeigh8

Surrender by Brittany is one of my fav werewolf books on Wattpad. I love her writing! The first book I read of her was Bad Boy is Possessive which I liked but Surrender is much more awesome!!

It seems I read werewolf books just on Wattpad, lol! This book is really amazing! It has right amount of drama and action. The betrayal and revenge, cool! If you like werewolf books, you should definitely check this book out. I always recommend my friends about this book first when they ask which book to read. (I introduced them to Wattpad and reading and they are loving it! Which makes me super duper happy)

Check out below to know more. Once you read the synopsis, you won't be able to add it to your library. And the cover, I just love it!

Surrender (Werewolf)

"Will you be mine?" he asked me in a husky voice.

I stared at him apprehensively for a moment, thinking over his proposal carefully before finally settling on an answer that would, in the end, please us both.

"Yes, Alpha. I'll be yours."

For Claire life was rather mundane and boring. Nothing particularly exciting or interesting ever happened to her. Well except that she would meet her mate any day now. And for her, that day couldn’t come soon enough.
When Claire finally meets her mate she is all but shocked to find that it’s the Alpha of her pack. Let’s just say they were both a little thrown by the sudden realization.

For Daniel, he had always pictured himself settling down and mating his longtime girlfriend Jasmine Marshall. He was head over hills in love with her.

Throw in another hot Alpha from a rival pack and a painful rejection and what do you have? A mess!
A million thoughts were whirling through Claire’s mind. One of them being, why was this hot, sexy, Alpha, willing to help her? She was no one of importance in the pack nor was she his mate. She was just plain old Claire. So what did he want with her exactly? And what was with this Surrendering thing he kept insisting on?

Well she’s soon to find out.

Life for Claire was about to become much more complicated than she ever knew. If only she could see what was coming her way before hand. Too bad she wasn’t that lucky.

And Brittany is cool person! I've talked to her on Instagram ( Thebookaddictedreader  ), she is just amazing person! And you should definitely check out her intsagram account cuz it is preety!! I love the bookstram community!!

So this is the first book in Retired Witches series. I read the second book first and my review for the book is Here. I enjoyed the second book so much I wanted to know more! And so I read it, enjoyed it even more even though some things were spoiled for me but it felt like I was reading a prequel.

Title: Spell Booked
Author: Joyce and Jim Lavene
Series: Retired Witches Mystery #1

Once upon a time in Wilmington, North Carolina, three witches ran a curio shop named Smuggler’s Arcane. But as the years passed, their magical powers started to fade—leaving them no choice but to conjure up a retirement package…

Before they could blink their eyes or twitch their noses, Molly, Elsie, and Olivia somehow became eligible for AARP. But they can’t fly off to Boca Raton just yet. First they must give up their magic, recruit and train three new witches, and pass on their cherished spellbook.

They’ve barely begun to consider potential practitioners when Olivia winds up dead and their spellbook is stolen. To honor their friend and reclaim their spells, Molly and Elsie are about to go wand-to-wand with a dangerous young witch more powerful than the trio was in their prime. And this time they’re going to need more than magic up their sleeves…

My Review

Spell Booked (Retired Witches Mystery #1)Spell Booked by Joyce Lavene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Enjoyed it! I read the second book Looking for Mr. Good Witch before and I really liked it! So obviously I wanted to know more and how it all started. And the background info on my fav characters!
It felt like I was reading prequel to the series. I love Olivia lol she is my fav character!
So Olivia is murdered, it's sad but funny as well. I'm not going to say anything cuz it is mild spoiler. But the adventure and mystery behind finding who the murderer is cool! And then the other problems Molly and Elsie and Olivia were facing about their fading magic.
Really cool series and I'm excited for more!!

 My Review

The Silverleaf Chronicles (The Dragon Masters Book 1)The Silverleaf Chronicles by Vincent Trigili
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this book!!
I was hooked when I read The Storymaster in The Dragon Chronicles. I wanted to know more about this world of Dragon masters and Dragons.
Dragons have been extinct for a long time because of a war and Dragon masters went mad without their dragons. After the extinction it seemed there is no cure for the Dragon masters born afterwards. They were destined to doom.
But the Storymasters have kept the legend of the dragons and a secret passed down for one Dragon master who will not succumb to the madness. And the Big Secret!!!
I read this in the six episodes released along the previous months. I was like I couldn't wait to know what was going to happen. And those episodes kept me content.
The last episode or the end just blowed my mind away. I wouldn't have guessed it! I was waiting form episode zero to know about it. I don't know what I was expecting but not that lol! Loved it!!!
I'm going to miss Silverleaf and Kaylissa very much! I loved his mad man phase, I adore Silverleaf.
A must read book! I'm excited for the second season! Got an arc in exchange of an honest review.
