New Release and Review: The Undoer by Melissa Cunningham

YaY! My exams are over and The Undoer by Melissa J. Cunningham released yesterday! I loved this whole series. It is third book in The Ransomed Soul series, an epic conclusion! All the books are standalone so it is upto you how you want to read it. I read the whole series in three days, marathoned the whole series last month. So my reviews of the first two books are also included.

Title: Reluctant Gaurdian
Series: The Ransomed Soul series #1
Author: Melissa J. Cunningham

Guarding Brecken Shaefer-a dark and dangerous rebel-is harder than it looks. Death was nothing like sixteen-year-old Alisa Callahan thought it would be. Resting on pink, fluffy clouds for eternity with her gram and best friend sounded like a dream come true. After all, enduring one torturous experience after another in her short life deserved some kind of reward, right? Unfortunately, eternal rewards aren't given out so freely when you take your own life. Required to pay the debt for committing suicide, Alisa must become a guardian. It sounds easy enough, but not when the boy she is forced to protect has a dangerous secret and wants absolutely nothing to do with her. Brecken Shaefer isn't any normal teenager. He has special gifts that are sure to make Alisa's afterlife miserable. When feelings develop between them, everything spins out of control. Not only must Alisa face her own demons- but to protect Brecken, she must face an evil so heinous that it threatens to destroy their souls completely. Alisa is tired of hiding from her past. When the easiest thing to do is run, can Brecken give her the strength to stay?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book, no this series is amazing. I finished three books in the series in three days. The writing and plot got me hooked me from the beginning.
Alisa comits suicide. But she doesn't get the afterlife she wanted. The writing is amazing, I connected with Alisa from the beginnig. She have face the consequences and the pain she inflicted to her loved by taking her life. The the topic of suicide is explored, the hurt and pain and why Alisa did it. It all felt real, hats off to the author. I've become her fan and am excited to read the other series.
Then their is Brecken Shaefer, I love him. I connected to him, that's the first thing I need if I'm going to enjoy a book; connect to charcters . I connected to all the charcters through out the series whether they are main or secondary.
Alisa has to be gaurdian of Brecken to enter in the paradise so she could be with her gram and her best friend Natasha. But it wasn't her time and she have to pay her debt for commiting suicide and to do that she have to help Brecken.
It was adventure, mystery and action, loved and enjoyed the book so much. You are in for a ride.

But when the spell goes wrong, Claire finds herself in the worst possible situation… sharing her body with an unwanted guest.

Everything swirls out of control when Alisa learns her entrapment is all part of a set-up, an elaborate scheme to keep her out of the way while demons take over the realm of Idir Shaol. Her only hope rests with a boy who can’t remember her, his past, or more importantly, who he really is…
One of the bad guys

My Review

The ElementalistThe Elementalist by Melissa J. Cunningham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked and enjoyed it but not as the first one. I liked Alisa's growth in the first book Reluctant Guardian but some of her choices she made me think I'm really reading about her. It was funny when she was stuck in Claire's body. The plot was cool and got hooked to it.
I liked Claire in some parts and didn't liked in some but I liked her by the end. Brecken knows who he is and I didn't like him at some parts, it's just felt he was a little arrogant, I really don't know but it is a part of him, his past who he was which I know why when I read The Undoer but he is just adorable not to like him.
Liked it very much that I finished it in a day. Got the book in exchange of an honest review.

Mindblowing! This series has blown my mind away. I love all the charcaters very much. This is Brecken's story. But there are other characters which also play important role in the book. I love them all! They are amazing. I like Dean, and I was in his team cuz he is just adorable like that. And the friendship between Jag and Dean is just amazing!!!
It is little different from other two books. They all could be read as stand alone. But I read in order cuz they are in that order, I'm weird like that. It just I get to know how the characters were before and what happened before and you already know them. It has dystopian element in it which my top fav genre and lots and lots of action and suspense which had flying through pages and holding my breath.
I'm now in the phase of missing the characters. I've calmed down from the excitement of finishing the book and getting the answers. Got an arc in exchange of an honest review.
